Privacy Policy for DockTabs

Last updated: March 16, 2026

DockTabs is a Chrome extension that helps users save, organize, and restore tab sessions locally on this device.

1. Information DockTabs stores locally

DockTabs stores user-created session data, local auto snapshots, extension settings, and local state needed to operate the extension on the current device. This may include tab titles, tab URLs, timestamps, session names, pinned state, and restore preferences.

2. How information is used

DockTabs uses this information only to provide user-facing features such as saving sessions, restoring sessions, searching saved sessions, and creating local backups.

3. Data sharing

DockTabs does not sell user data. By default, session data stays local in Chrome extension storage. If a user activates Pro and uses Cloud Sync, session payloads needed for sync/restore are sent to DockTabs API endpoints.

Optional usage metrics are off by default and never include tab titles or tab URLs.

4. User choice

Users can use DockTabs locally without signing in. Sessions can be deleted inside the extension, and extension storage can be cleared by removing the extension in Chrome.

5. Security

DockTabs uses reasonable security measures to protect transmitted data and local browser storage.
